Production Laborer

NOW HIRING!!! Production Laborer Bagging & Stacking Shift: 1st Shift Monday - Friday Pay: $15.00/hr with increase upon hire Location: Sandusky, OH 44870

Job Summary: We are looking for a dependable Laborer to join our Patch Department. This is a physical, hands-on position that requires lifting 5060 lb. bags of asphalt throughout the entire shift. This is not a job for someone looking for light-duty work. You will perform the same physical task throughout the day and must be comfortable with heavy lifting, hot conditions, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Stack 5060 lb. bags of asphalt onto shipping skids
• Build and fill skids for shipment
• Continue stacking bags throughout the shift
• Maintain proper stacking and organization of materials
• Work safely and efficiently in a hot, dirty production environment
• Follow all safety and production procedures
• Work as part of a team to keep product moving
• Once a skid is full, a truck-mounted forklift (TM) driver will remove it and take it to be wrapped for shipment. You will then begin filling the next skid.

Important Physical Requirements - THIS IS A VERY PHYSICAL JOB.

• Must be able to repeatedly lift 5060 lbs.
• Heavy lifting is required throughout the entire shift
• Must be comfortable standing and working on your feet all day
• Must be able to work in hot conditions, especially during the summer
• Work environment can be hot, dirty, and physically demanding
• Must be able to maintain consistent physical effort throughout a long shift
