Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing commercial HVAC ductwork, including rectangular, spiral, round, and specialty metal systems. You will fabricate sheet metal components using shears, brakes, and other fabrication tools as needed, and install hangers, supports, and equipment following engineered plans and mechanical drawings. You will also set rooftop units, VAV boxes, air handlers, and other HVAC equipment, seal ducts, test airflow, and ensure systems meet quality and performance standards.

Responsibilities

• Install commercial HVAC ductwork, including rectangular, spiral, round, and specialty metal systems.
• Fabricate sheet metal components using shears, brakes, and other fabrication tools as needed.
• Install hangers, supports, and equipment following engineered plans and mechanical drawings.
• Set rooftop units, VAV boxes, air handlers, and other HVAC equipment.
• Seal ducts, test airflow, and ensure systems meet quality and performance standards.
• Coordinate installations with other trades to avoid conflicts.
• Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and specifications.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area in compliance with company and OSHA standards.
• Train and assist apprentices or junior installers as needed.

• Proven experience in sheet metal installation and duct installation.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems and commercial construction.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of sheet metal experience.
• OSHA 10 certification is required.

• Lift certification is preferred.
• PPE requirements include Type II hard hat, high visibility clothing, cut-resistant gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots.

Work Environment

Work schedule is Monday to Friday from 6 AM to 2:30 PM, with occasional Saturdays as needed. You will be part of a 12-man crew, working alongside a 7-man team. The work environment requires adherence to safety standards, including wearing PPE such as Type II hard hat, high visibility clothing, cut-resistant gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Cincinnati, OH.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Cincinnati,OH.
