• Strong cath lab experience
• IR experience
• Neuro intervention experience preferred

Description: CATH LAB/IR TECH 10HR DAYS. Auto offer with the ability for manager interview if necessary. A strict no-tobacco policy is enforced, and tests for nicotine and cotinine are conducted. Travelers who use any form of nicotine will be automatically canceled if they fail the drug screen. Position accepted: CATH LAB/IR TECH with IR experience. Ratios: 8-12 Caseload. Weekend call required: 1 full weekend per month. Current on-call requirement: Approx. 7-10 days per month. STEMI Call team must respond within 30 minutes of activation. A 2-hour call back is guaranteed. Floating between units is not required. Elective procedural tasks include diagnostic and interventional caths, RHC, STEMI, IABP, and pacemakers. Required skills include:

• Angioplasty
• Cardiac stent placement
• Insertion/programming of AICDs
• Pacemaker insertion
• Scrubbing to maintain sterile field
• Temporary pacemaker management

Candidates must have 3 years of charge experience and experience with a specific charting system. Previous experience with trauma level I hospitals is required. Candidates will float within the facility or to nearby affiliates if necessary. Return staff must be absent for 1 year. A strict no-tobacco facility policy with nicotine drug screening is in place. Positive nicotine tests will result in cancellation. Modules are completed during orientation and annually, and vary by specialty. Modules are recorded through the designated learning portal.
