Role at a glance

• Location: Valley View, Ohio

• Focus: Operate and optimize thread rolling machinery for custom threaded rods and related products
• Shifts: First shift (Mon–Fri); optional second shift (Mon–Thu, 3:00 p.m.–1:30 a.m.)
• Compensation: Based on knowledge and experience
• Materials: Stainless steel, low carbon, brass, bronze
• End markets: Anchor bolts, garage door openers, C‑clamps, highway guard rails, aerospace, elevators, automotive wheels

• Set up and run thread rolling machines to meet set‑up and piece‑per‑hour targets
• Adjust machine controls (speed, pressure, die contact) to maintain spec and throughput
• Escalate safety, material, and equipment issues immediately
• Load/unload parts to prevent damage; maintain clean separation of heat/mill numbers
• Tag every container with the traveler prior to production
• Use overhead crane safely for bars and workpieces
• Leave equipment in standard‑ready condition for the next operation
• Transport WIP with correct labels and full traceability

• Enter set‑up, run time, and piece counts in the ERP accurately
• Log downtime, maintenance, and training events
• Complete ERP custom forms per set‑up to document running parameters
• Capture SPC measurements and verify to job specifications and the Quality Policy
• Conduct vigilant inspections for thread integrity and compliance
• Contribute to 6‑S and 2‑Second Lean improvements to boost uptime and flow

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience
• Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office) and accurate data entry
• Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, specs, job orders, tooling instructions, and charts
• Hands‑on skill adjusting equipment for material/tooling/machine/program conditions
• Troubleshooting mindset with sound recommendations on process failures
• Measurement tools proficiency: micrometers, verniers, calipers, comparator, go/no‑go gauges, pins, nuts, tape measure
• Strong attendance, punctuality, and work ethic
• Collaborative and continuous‑improvement focused

• Standing and bending throughout the shift
• Lift 40–50 lbs; push/pull up to approximately 200 lbs
• Overtime as requested by the Operations Manager
