Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active Occupational Therapy license in the state of Virginia (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred
• Knowledge of IEP processes and documentation requirements
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with teachers, families, and staff
• Ability to assess, design, and implement appropriate therapy interventions to support student success in the classroom
• Organization skills and adaptability to tailor services to a diverse caseload

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments to determine students’ functional abilities and needs within the educational environment
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, supporting students’ physical, sensory, and motor development
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing insights and recommendations to enhance student access to curriculum
• Engage educators, families, and support staff through collaborative planning and training initiatives
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of interventions, progress, and outcomes according to school standards
• Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages student engagement and growth
