POSITION SUMMARY: Provide management of the OST Non-Operations and Training vehicle fleet of GSA and DOE owned vehicles. This includes tracking usage, performing monthly GSA on-line mileage report, coordinating maintenance/repairs/ modifications to and replacement of vehicles, coordinating new vehicle requests, acting as primary point of contact for all GSA fleet matters. Worker may be exposed to dust, fumes, loud noises and the environment. Physical Demands Work involves much standing or walking. Some kneeling or bending involved. When in the office, work is sedentary, which requires sitting most of the time. Work will involve some moderate lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling. Salary Description
$65,000 annually
- Track usage data for all OST-owned non-operational vehicles and make assignments of vehicles within OST to maximize usage.
- Reports monthly usage data for all GSA vehicles to GSA, for billing purposes.
- Initiates requests for replacement of lost or damaged GSA vehicle credit cards and license plates.
- Identify periodic maintenance requirements for GSA vehicles and ensure maintenance is completed.
- Develop, monitor, and maintain compliance for company DOT Operations.
- Identifies GSA vehicles qualifying for replacement, ensures replacement vehicle meets the organization's needs, submits requisition, and receives vehicle when it arrives.
- Ensures all vehicle accident reports are filled out correctly and submitted to appropriate offices for action.
- Coordinate activities and maintain an effective working relationship with the Federal OST Fleet Manager.
- Provide data and assistance to the OST Fleet Manager in performing the annual FAST report, and quarterly fuel reports.
- Manage the OST Albuquerque Headquarters vehicle pool of non-operation and GSA vehicles.
- Control accountability of credit cards issued to DOE owned vehicles in the Headquarters vehicle pool.
- Maintain applicable vehicle data and records in spreadsheets, VPMS and other Electronic Accountability Systems, as appropriate.
- Act as Property Custodian for operational and non-operational vehicles assigned to Headquarters.
- Participate in MMWG/EMG meetings and NNSA fleet council meetings.
- Support OST in maintaining appropriate fleet levels and in disposal of excess vehicles.
- Manage OST's license ("E") plate program cradle to grave, to include storing, assigning to vehicles, providing accountability of all plates, tracking throughout the vehicles' life cycle, and ensuring proper disposal.
- Participate in OST's annual self-assessment by conducting annual vehicle management assessments at TSTS and each Agent Operations Command.
- Performs other assigned OST logistical duties as required to meet operational support requirements.
- Ensure that integrated safety management principles are applied to all duties. Perform all activities and tasks in a safe, ergonomically, and healthful manner.

- Supervises the TSTS Fleet Lead and serves as the overall Logistics Site Lead for all Logistics functions in support of OST HQs. Provides input to the Lead Property Coordinator for the Property Specialist's annual evaluations.
- Verify the monthly GSA invoice for accuracy and validate charges for repairs and maintenance.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of five years on-the-job experience in a related vehicle management position.
- A minimum of three years supervisory experience.
- Must have a strong knowledge of PC's and MS programs (Especially Excell) and office equipment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an appropriate DOE security clearance.
- Working knowledge of federal and DOE orders and regulations related to management of government vehicles.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to plan and interact with federal and contractor personnel.
- Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate the work schedule.
- Ability to travel for fleet and other OST business.
- Ability to obtain licenses and certifications to operate commercial motor vehicles and specialized equipment in the support of OST program requirements.
