The Mental Health Therapist will provide individual, group, family, and crisis counseling to the student's in the schools served. The therapist will be responsible to teach a Social and Emotional program to all the classes in the assigned school. Assisting principals and education staff in the best ways to handle challenging behavior. This is a 10 month position with a work schedule of August 1 - May 31. Minimum Qualifications: Master's Degree in Counseling or Social Work with licensure in the State of Ohio; Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Licensed Social Worker, or Licensed Independent Social worker. Experience providing mental health treatment to a variety of clientele. Successful experience working with people from various social and cultural communities. Valid driver's license and low risk driving record and is insurable by the University. Preferred Qualifications: Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW). Mental health counseling experience in a K-12 school setting. Knowledge of Catholic schools and their culture. Demonstrated successful experience working independently and productively. Demonstrated successful experience working as part of a team. Successful demonstration of flexibility in day to day activities. Demonstrated successful experience building and sustaining relationship and partnerships with school staff and community.
