Insurance CoordinatorOur office, Triangle Implant Center - Mebane in Mebane, NC is seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Insurance Coordinator to join our busy specialty practice. This role is essential in ensuring our patients receive the maximum benefits from their insurance coverage while maintaining compliance with billing and insurance regulations.Job Summary As an Insurance Coordinator, you will play a vital role in managing insurance claims and ensuring accurate, timely processing. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of dental billing, coding, and insurance policies, including Medicaid and NC Tracks, while also providing excellent support to patients and our clinical/administrative teams.Your ResponsibilitiesVerify patients' dental insurance coverage and benefitsCommunicate with insurance companies to obtain pre-authorizations for treatmentsAssist patients in understanding their insurance coverage and estimated costsSubmit accurate and timely insurance claims electronically and via mailFollow up on outstanding insurance claims, appeals, and denialsManage insurance claims efficiently, ensuring timely submission and follow-upCommunicate with healthcare providers, clients, and insurance companies to resolve discrepancies or issues related to claimsMaintain organized files and records of all insurance-related documentsStay updated on changes in Medicaid regulations and insurance policiesCollaborate with the front desk and clinical teams to ensure accurate patient information and treatment codesProvide excellent customer service by addressing insurance-related inquiries and concernsEducate patients on available payment options for uncovered servicesProvide clerical support as neededHelp facilitate/coordinate other office responsibilities as neededYour BackgroundAt least 1+ years of previous experience in a similar role (dental insurance, billing, or coding)Proven experience in insurance claims processing (including Medicaid and NC Tracks) is highly valuedHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredFamiliarity with dental practice management software and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficientlyKnowledge of dental documentation requirements and proceduresExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, and insurance representativesDetail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentationProblem-solving skills to address insurance claim discrepancies and denialsProfessional, patient-centric attitude with a strong commitment to customer serviceMust be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time.Must be able to operate standard office equipmentMust be able to assist patients safely in and out of chairs or treatment areasMust be able to maintain clinical positioning for extended periodsMust be able to work around medical equipment and instrumentsMust be able to adhere to OSHA and infection control standardsMust be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist movementsMust be able to respond quickly in emergency situationsA career with us is a chance to work with everyone involved in the future of specialty dental care.
