Production Chemist

Overview Production Chemist , you will formulate products and intermediates using biologicals and chemicals of varying properties to meet specifications. Must be based in Irvine, California and within commuting distance of the office. Responsibilities Responsible for bulk formulating products of low to medium complexity including intermediates in accordance with approved written procedures and policies. Perform data entry and inventory control utilizing the ERP database. Responsible for completing production documentation and maintaining quality records to GDP/GMP standards. Coordinate, prioritize, and plan lab tasks to meet strict deadlines. Follow controlled Standard Operation Procedures/documents. Monitor manufacturing processes and perform adjustments when necessary to meet required yields. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a life science or related field. 0-3 years working in a general manufacturing environment formulating products in the areas of biological sciences, life sciences, or an equivalent. Ability to follow guidelines and handle hazardous materials safely. Ability to work in a product team and make decisions of limited scope, subject to review. Ability to follow detailed procedures and have good documentation skills. Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Laboratory Practices. Must be experienced in using ERP systems—SAP a plus. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools—Excel and Word. Basic working knowledge of laboratory environments, materials, and equipment. Compensation The estimated base salary range for this position is $70,310 – $85,300. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer and is based on several factors including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job-permitted factors. This position is also eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and company performance.
