Fork Lift Operator

Job Title: Forklift Operator - $20 - 21/hr
Openings on 1st and 2nd Shifts
Responsibilities

• Professionally operate the forklift with an accident-free record and maintain precise records of forklift inspections.
• Systematically maintain and clean the forklift.
• Continuously track the location of goods during material handling using the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and ensure accurate data entry.
• Perform manual tasks such as sampling, inventory, and cleaning under the direction of the warehouse supervisor or team lead.
• Keep the warehouse clean and tidy.
• During the seed delivery and return season, ensure proper loading and unloading of transport vehicles with quality packages to meet customer expectations.
• Maintain safety standards and initiate emergency procedures when necessary.

Essential Skills

• At least 6 months to a 1 year of forklift experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to count accurately when moving inventory and read scales.
• Ability to multi-task and be detail-oriented.
• Alertness and awareness when driving the forklift safely.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to operate forklifts in confined spaces and work with racks up to 30 feet high.
• Proficiency in using RF scan guns and other technology like PCs and scanners.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Durant, IA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
