Warehouse Shipping Associate

We are seeking a dedicated and physically capable Warehouse Shipping Associate to join our team. This role involves the manual handling of boxes and materials, requiring strength, endurance, and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing orders, managing inventory, and ensuring the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Lift, carry, and stack boxes weighing up to 50 lbs or more.
• Use a computer for data entry and tracking orders.
• Operate and navigate with hand trucks and pallet jacks.
• Utilize a step ladder and read location labels for accurate placement.
• Engage in physical activities such as standing, stooping, crawling, kneeling, and twisting.
• Employ RF scanners to track and manage inventory.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Essential Skills

• Ability to consistently lift up to 50 lbs.
• Proficiency in bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
• Basic computer skills for data entry.
• Experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Shrink wrap experience.
• Pallet jack experience.
• Experience with RF Scanners.
• High School Diploma.
• Military experience is a plus.

Work Environment

This position operates on the 1st shift from 7 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Saturday. Enjoy two paid 15-minute breaks and one unpaid 30-minute lunch break. The warehouse environment is organized with five levels, offering quiet spaces where employees can listen to music. Certain areas may be dusty, but the overall atmosphere is clean and well-maintained.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Addison, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
