About the Position

Job Title: Preoperative Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Pre Op Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:00 - 16:30 Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Meditech experience - IV starts - Pediatric experience Description: We are seeking a preoperative registered nurse. Candidates must be familiar with Meditech. Experience in day surgery and preoperative settings is essential. Ability to work flexible shifts is important. Both adult and pediatric experience is preferred, with a priority on adult experience. The unit includes a total of 22 beds. Staff consists of a charge nurse, preoperative RNs, post-operative RNs, and patient care technicians. The ratio for preoperative and post-anesthesia care is 1:1 for pre-op and 3:1 for post-op. Experience in preadmit testing is advantageous. The typical procedures performed in this unit include general surgery, gynecological procedures, orthopedic surgeries, and scopes. Ideal candidates are flexible, friendly, and team-oriented. Self-scheduling is available, but candidates must work two Mondays and two Fridays during each scheduling period. Candidates must be willing to work during inclement weather. There are no weekend or on-call requirements.
