Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Spokane, Washington.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Labor and Delivery\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: ASAP\n Duration: 21 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, nights\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Aug 24, 2026\n Length: 21 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a Level 3 Trauma Center in Spokane, WA, requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience and a WA or compact RN license.Details\n \n 12-hour night shifts (1900-0730), 36 hours per week\n 388-bed hospital with a Level 3 Trauma Center designation\n Labor & Delivery unit with 12 beds, 3 ORs, and 2 OB ER rooms\n Patient population includes high-risk and low-risk antepartum and intrapartum patients, immediate postpartum care, stabilization of normal newborns, and couplet care\n Patient ratios: 1:1 for high-risk patients, 1:2 standard; AWHONN guidelines followed\n Centralized EFM, telemetry EFM, and cardiac telemetry monitoring available\n EMR: Epic (required)\n IV pumps: Baxter; Medication dispensing: Pyxis; Fetal monitoring: GE/Centricity and Philips EFM/tele\n Weekend rotation: every other weekend\n Floating may be required to Postpartum and NICU (Level 2 newborns)\n On-call only applies to scheduled shifts with low census call-offs\n One holiday may be required\n Requirements\n \n Active WA RN license or compact RN license required\n Current certifications required: BLS, NRP, and EFM\n Surgical scrub role requires: BLS and CST\n Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience required\n Proficiency in IUPC, FSE, IV starts, and circulating C-sections required\n Epic EMR experience required\n Additional Information\n \n Manager interviews are conducted for this position\n Unit support includes a receptionist/HUC and charge nurse available 24/7; charge RN serves as resource nurse\n Respiratory therapy available in conjunction with NICU; hospitalist on staff\n RNs perform phlebotomy as needed; IV/VAT team available if needed\n Orientation consists of approximately 2–3 shifts, depending on individual competency and comfort\n Dark blue scrubs are required and provided by the hospital\n Free parking available in designated areas\n First-time travelers are welcome to apply\n One supervisor-level reference required at time of consideration; a second reference will be needed prior to start\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-735476.
