Per Diem Pharmacist | Biddeford, Maine

Join a specialized ambulatory infusion therapy clinic committed to delivering expert IV and infusion services to patients with acute and chronic needs as a Staff Pharmacist - Home Infusion (PRN). This position offers flexible, per diem opportunities in Portland, ME, allowing you to provide impactful clinical pharmacy support on a recurring basis.


Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and process physician orders while verifying insurance benefits
• Perform sterile compounding in compliance with USP 797 standards and support cleanroom operations
• Ensure the safe dispensing of medications and infusion-related supplies
• Maintain accurate patient and pharmacy records aligned with federal and state regulations
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff to uphold quality operations
• Manage assigned patient caseloads and offer coverage for other pharmacists as needed

Schedule:

• Approximately 2 days per month with flexible scheduling options
• Additional ongoing PRN coverage opportunities as required

Qualifications:

• Active Maine Pharmacist License in good standing
• Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy experience, with 2+ years of clinical pharmacy experience preferred
• Required experience in infusion therapy and sterile compounding
• Thorough knowledge of USP 797 sterile compounding standards
• Strong communication, multitasking, time management, and critical-thinking skills
