Independent Contractor Massage Therapist

Responsibilities Perform professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy to target specific muscle groups and pain points. Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand individual health histories, current conditions, and treatment goals. Apply knowledge of anatomy and physiology to develop effective treatment plans that support pain management and occupational health recovery. Maintain detailed documentation of each session, including client progress, treatment details, and any relevant medical terminology. Ensure a safe, comfortable environment by adhering to hygiene standards and respecting client confidentiality at all times. Collaborate with clients to adjust treatments based on feedback and evolving needs for optimal results. Qualifications Valid massage therapy license. Proven experience with patient service, patient assessment, and diverse massage techniques such as deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy. Familiarity with pain management strategies and occupational health considerations. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and foster trust with clients. Prior experience working in a med spa or similar healthcare setting required. Ability to work independently as an effective contractor while maintaining professionalism and high-quality standards.
