Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring general, pediatric general, and trauma OR experience.

Details

• Work in the Operating Room department of a Level I Trauma Center
• Cases include General OR, Pediatric General OR, and Trauma surgery
• Day shift schedule of 3x12 hours (6:30 AM to 7:00 PM)
• Schedule options include every other weekend or 7 on/7 off rotation
• Epic charting system experience preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license (TN or Compact) required in hand at time of consideration
• AHA BLS certification required; ACLS and CNOR preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Experience in General OR, Pediatric General OR, and Trauma surgery required
• Level I Trauma Center experience preferred
• BSN required for international travelers
• Must be willing to trim or remove facial hair to meet CDC fit testing guidelines
• Must complete drug test within 12-14 calendar days prior to start, with availability for a second test if needed

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
• General orientation begins on Sundays with online CBL modules, averaging 4-5 hours
• 16 hours of non-billable orientation included
• Contract RN team members are expected to participate in nursing student support and clinical education alongside patient care duties
• RTO must be submitted for consideration
