Position Summary As a Caregiver, you will deliver compassionate personal care and homemaking services in accordance with each client’s individualized Plan of Care. Working under the guidance of the Staffing Coordinator, you will play a vital role in promoting safety, comfort, and overall well-being. Education Requirements High School Diploma or GED (Required) Preferred Qualifications At least one (1) year of experience in home care, long-term care, or a similar healthcare setting A compassionate, dependable, and patient-centered mindset Strong communication and observation skills What You’ll Do Create a Clean & Safe Home Environment Perform light housekeeping (bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas) Assist with laundry, dishes, and general tidying Maintain a safe, comfortable, and organized living space Provide Personal Care & Daily Living Support Assist with hygiene, grooming, dressing, shaving, and transfers Support mobility, ambulation, and prescribed exercise routines Help with eating and other daily living activities Support Nutrition & Meal Preparation Prepare and serve balanced meals Assist with feeding when needed Ensure dietary needs are followed according to the care plan Monitor Health & Well-Being Observe and report changes in physical or emotional condition Document personal care activities, vital signs, and intake/output as required Communicate important updates to the Staffing Coordinator Promote Safe Mobility Assist with walkers, wheelchairs, and hoyer lifts Encourage participation in range-of-motion and prescribed exercises Support family members in safe caregiving practices Medication Assistance Assist with self-administered medications Retrieve medications, read labels, and support proper intake Document medication assistance and ensure proper storage Infection Control & Compliance Follow CDC hand hygiene and infection control guidelines Adhere to company policies, procedures, and training standards Work Schedule Flexible shifts available 24/7 based on client needs and your availability Hours vary by assignment While we strive to provide consistent scheduling, a fixed number of hours cannot be guaranteed Why Join Assisting Hands?
