Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a CVICU Days position requiring critical care and open heart recovery experience along with an active IN or compact RN license.

Details

• Cardiovascular Unit with 8 beds and patient ratios of 1:1-3
• Patient population includes post-surgical management for cardiothoracic surgery, vascular surgery, thoracotomies, TAVRs, and post-complex PCI interventions
• Performs post-open heart and post-cardiac procedure care including central line, arterial line, and chest tube placements
• Utilizes Edwards Monitoring, GE Monitoring, and Swan-Ganz catheters
• Day shift schedule from 06:45 to 19:15
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active IN or compact RN license required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• ACLS certification (AHA) required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Background in critical care and cardiac critical care required
• Open heart recovery and post-cardiac procedure recovery experience required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start

• Provides post-surgical recovery care for complex cardiovascular and thoracic patients
• Radius rule applies allowing local candidates at a reduced pay rate
