SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

POSITION:The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing core accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and completing monthly accounting tasks within established deadlines.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Perform and manage monthly accounting tasks, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities, consistently meeting deadlinesPrepare and review monthly financial statements and supporting schedules for skilled nursing and assisted living operationsEnsure compliance with GAAP and internal company policiesAnalyze financial results, identify variances, and provide explanations to managementSupport audits, cost reports, and regulatory reviews by preparing documentation and responding to inquiriesCollaborate with various department leaders to ensure accurate financial dataAssist in improving accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting efficiencyProvide guidance and support to other accounting staff as neededJOB FUNCTIONS:Proficient in MS Office applicationsStrong communication skills and able to work effectively with operational leadersExperience managing decentralized AP activities is preferredStrong team player and leader, highly motivated and able to work under pressure during peak periodsAble to work some off-hours necessary to complete the monthly close processPHYSICAL CAPACITIES: (With or Without the Aid of Mechanical Devices)Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computerFrequent use of hands and fingers for typing, data entry, and operating standard office equipmentAbility to view computer screens, financial reports, and detailed data for prolonged periodsOccasional standing, walking, bending, or reaching within an office environmentAbility to lift and carry light objects (typically up to 10–15 pounds), such as files or office suppliesQUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or financeLicense: None RequiredWork Experience:3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including responsibility for month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting, with a proven ability to meet monthly deadlines independently.Language Skills:Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical information, and to be easily understood through verbal communication in the English language.Mathematical Skills:Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Communication Skills:Must have exceptional communication and customer service skills and be empathetic. #J-18808-Ljbffr Kalesta Healthcare Group
