What You'll Be Stirring Up
- Whip up tasty meals in just the right portions: raw ingredients, hearty staples, and fresh flavors
- Serve it up hot and on time, every time
- Keep it clean; workstations, utensils, and equipment sparkle with your touch
- Make sure food is safe, fresh, and rotated
- Help stock up and check deliveries when the Food Service Director isn't around
- Take pride in presentation and aim to impress every plate
Qualifications
- Experience and/or knowledge of meal preparation for large groups
- Ability to read and understand recipes, work in a team environment, work flexible shifts, handle multiple tasks at one time, and communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Must be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner for residents
- Must enjoy working with the elderly and all who associate with them
- Must be able to interact with residents who are highly susceptible to common illnesses without exposing them to additional health risks
