Part-Time Position-General Funeral Home Assistant

Funeral Home Assistant Perfect opportunity for a well-seasoned individual looking for a part-time position or to supplement a fixed income. Sporadic schedule is available for daytime hours, occasional evenings, and weekends (hours per week variable). Looking for an easy-going, experienced, flexible, and self-motivated individual. Responsibilities and Requirements include: General maintenance within the building, including cleaning washrooms, vacuuming, dusting and/or washing floors. Exterior maintenance consisting of washing windows, sweeping the parkway, sidewalk, and parking lot, washing and waxing of vehicles, weed control, and minor auto maintenance, along with snow shoveling and removal in winter, checking gutters and drains. Running errands. Assisting with Funerals and Visitations. General knowledge of Western Suburbs. Able to lift 100+ Lbs in team lift. Ability to understand and follow instructions in English; Bi-lingual a plus. Attention to detail. 18 Years and Older. Valid state driver’s license, clean driving record, able to drive different vehicles. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Professional appearance. Good attitude. Will interact with families during their time of need. Assist with transfers and accepting vendor merchandise. Team player. Black Suit and White shirt required (work attire) for specific duties. Requires frequent standing/walking and lifting or pushing. Must be willing to accept all faiths. Only qualified candidates will be considered. Meals provided.
