Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location: Hackensack, NJ
Type: Contract | 34 Weeks
Shift & Schedule: Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM | Every Other Weekend & Holidays Required

Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for an exciting Travel or Local job in Hackensack, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services under medical direction for patients with cardiopulmonary conditions
• Perform respiratory assessments, treatments, diagnostic evaluations, and patient monitoring
• Assist with intubations and provide ventilator setup, management, and troubleshooting
• Gather patient information and collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to develop care plans
• Educate patients and caregivers regarding respiratory conditions and treatment plans
• Document patient care and therapy interventions accurately
• Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Adhere to departmental policies, safety standards, and organizational protocols

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist required
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required
• Previous ventilator management experience required
• Current New Jersey Respiratory Care License required
• Current NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Certification required
• Current AHA BLS Certification required
• Current ACLS Certification required
• Current PALS Certification required
• Must be willing to float to Adult ICU, Intermediate Care, and Basic Intermediate Care units
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and patient care skills
