Janitorial Supervisor

We are looking for a Janitorial/Porter Supervisor for the Central Alabama Health Care System(CAVHCS) VA Medical Center in Tuskegee, AL. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of (2) years' experience in supervising in the Environmental Services industry, specifically with Sanitation teams. Detailed knowledge of cleaning procedures and customer service skills is a must. In addition, managing and overseeing the cleaning schedule and requirements.

Applicants must be US citizen and must be able to pass a background check performed by the Federal Government.

Key Responsibilities: Supervise the work activities of janitorial personnel in a professional environment. Assign duties, inspect work, and investigate complaints regarding janitorial services and take corrective action. May purchase janitorial supplies, manage stock level of inventory, train new employees, and recommend dismissals.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit, stand, reach, bend and stoop for extended periods of time; Ascending/Descending stairs and move equipment weighing up to 20 pounds frequently; May be required to lift up to 30 lbs.
