Triage, rapidly assess, and monitor patients; initiate timely interventions and elevate as needed. Administer medications, perform IV therapies, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and document care accurately. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including licensed and unlicensed staff, and involve families in care planning and education. Develop and update individualized nursing care plans; ensure safe discharge planning and patient teaching. Uphold professional standards per state nurse practice act and ANA Ethics Code; participate in evidence‑based practice and unit governance.
