Cath Lab Technologist - New Haven, CT

Step into a vital role supporting advanced cardiac patient care as a Cath Lab Technologist for a 17-week assignment. This contract opportunity focuses on delivering high-quality imaging and support for invasive cardiovascular procedures in a dynamic cardiac catheterization lab environment.


Schedule/Hours:

• 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• On-call rotation required, including every third weekend and two weekdays per week based on unit needs

Qualifications:

• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• Valid RT(R) or RCIS credentials
• Proven experience in Cath Lab procedural support and imaging
• Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, electrocardiography, and catheterization procedure protocols
• Excellent communication, adaptability, and teamwork skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical setting

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist cardiologists with all invasive cardiac catheterization lab procedures, including preparation, imaging, and post-procedure care
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring high-resolution results and accurate data capture
• Monitor patient status and responses throughout procedures, delivering swift, appropriate interventions if needed
• Prepare sterile fields and instruments, following rigorous infection control standards
• Facilitate documentation and record-keeping, complying with hospital and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and colleagues to optimize patient outcomes and support the needs of the lab
