Locum Tenens Opportunity - Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) Location: Panama City, Florida Referral Bonus: Ask about our generous referral fees! Position Details

• Clinical Role: Physician (Physiatrist)
• Specialty: Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
• Setting: Inpatient & Outpatient
• Coverage Type: Short-Term Assignment (NOT ongoing)

Availability / Schedule

• Dates Needed: June 16 - July 6, 2026
• Assignment Type: Temporary coverage only

Licenses / Certifications Needed

• Florida Medical License: Active & unrestricted
• DEA: Active, unrestricted with Florida address
• ACLS Certification: Required (must be maintained if moderate sedation privileges apply)
• Board Certification:
  • PM&R (ABPMR or AOBPMR) OR
  • Board Eligible within required timeframe

Education & Training Requirements

• MD or DO
• Completion of ACGME / AOA / RCPSC-accredited residency in:
  • Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation OR
  • Internal Medicine (with qualifying PM&R experience)

Experience Requirements (Must Meet ONE)

• Documented 200 electrodiagnostic studies (EMGs/NCS) OR
• 2+ years inpatient rehab management experience (CMS compliant) OR
• Recent completion (within 12 months) of accredited residency/fellowship with required case logs

Clinical Scope

• Diagnose, evaluate, and manage patients with:
  • Physical & cognitive impairments
  • Disabilities & functional limitations
• Treat all ages

Core Skills / Procedures

• Electrodiagnostic studies (EMG/NCS)
• Joint & soft tissue injections
• Pain management (acute & chronic)
• Stroke, spinal cord, and traumatic brain injury rehab
• Musculoskeletal & neurologic condition management
• Orthotics/prosthetics & assistive device management
• Rehab program development & oversight

Additional / Optional Privileges (Require additional training/credentialing)

• Fluoroscopy-guided injections
• Moderate sedation
• Medical acupuncture
• Muscle biopsy

Quality / Credentialing Notes

• Must provide recent clinical activity (past 12 months)
• Demonstrated competency + acceptable outcomes (last 24 months)
• Hospital privilege documentation required
