Role Description and Responsibilities The Medical Director will serve as the lead veterinarian on the clinic floor, setting the standard for patient care and overseeing clinical excellence across the hospital. Responsibilities include mentoring and training veterinarians and nurses, implementing protocols, overseeing quality assurance, and fostering a collaborative and supportive environment for both clients and team members. The role combines leadership responsibilities with hands-on clinical work involving urgent care, wellness and preventative medicine, diagnostics, dentistry, surgery, vaccinations, spays and neuters, puppy and kitten care, and emergency cases. The successful candidate will help drive the continued growth of the hospital's care model while practicing gold-standard veterinary medicine. Services offered include urgent care and sick visits, wellness and preventative care, vaccinations, spay and neuter procedures, dental care including cleanings, x-rays, and extractions, surgery, puppy and kitten care, and emergency veterinary services. The practice emphasizes modern veterinary medicine, operational efficiency, and a collaborative care model. Additional practice benefits include a flexible 3-4 day workweek with 10-12 hour shifts, no overnight responsibilities, and a highly skilled nursing team with up to a 3:1 nurse-to-DVM ratio.
