Board Product Development Engineer

Overview NVIDIA is an industry leader in AI, high performance computing, and gaming. We are the Board Product Development Engineering team within NVIDIA’s operations group, working across electrical, electronics, mechanical, thermal, and software engineering disciplines. We are looking for a Senior Product Development Engineer – Boards to help bring highly complex board products from design through mass production. Responsibilities Work on NVIDIA Engineering boards and tester systems to support gaming, workstation, and compute GPU cards during NPI and production. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Hardware Design, Software, Manufacturing, Quality / Reliability, Application Engineering, and Marketing) to meet fast‑paced delivery schedules. Provide DFx recommendations to the design team during the design phase, highlighting electrical, mechanical, and thermal challenges. Root‑cause failing boards using lab equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.) and software tools. Analyze yield and parametric data using available tools, programming, and scripting. Perform product design and validation to support design engineering sustaining work. Define and improve manufacturing test plans to optimize coverage, test‑time, test‑cost, and yield. Direct local and overseas contract manufacturing factories to transition new products to mass‑production. Regularly report product status and recommend improvements to management. Qualifications Experience in two or more of the following areas: Server architectures, test equipment, board/PCB design, SMT, assembly, board or post‑Si validation, product engineering, design or validation of high‑speed interfaces (PCI‑E, DP, HDMI, USB), Power‑Integrity, Thermal characterization, complex test setups. Ability to debug complicated multidisciplinary problems. Good team spirit and strong communication skills. Good grasp of testing strategies and their relation to yields and test‑time. 2+ years of experience in design, manufacturing, validation, or testing of PCBs, silicon, or related systems. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or equivalent experience. Ways to Stand Out Knowledge of test equipment, design for assembly, PCB manufacturing process, system assembly/testing, and mechanical tolerances. Knowledge of how to build computers and tweak BIOS settings. Experience in data analysis, software tools, and scripting. Experience enabling and driving cross‑functional debugging. Compensation and Benefits Competitive salaries and a generous benefits package. Base salary ranges: Level2 – $108,000USD–$184,000USD; Level3 – $136,000USD–$212,750USD.
