\nThe Staff Civil/Structural Engineer will be a key member of project teams, responsible for creating world-class designs for new projects, alterations and redevelopments on a variety of projects with a focus on marine structures, including piers, wharfs, bulkheads, fender systems and other related structures. The Staff Civil/Structural Engineer will be a key driver on the project team, responsible for balancing design integrity with project constraints by developing civil and structural plans to meet technical requirements, budget and client needs.\n

• Work with Senior Civil/Structural Engineers and lead the civil/structural design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion.
\n
• Design and analyze civil/structural components for a variety of projects.
\n
• Apply advanced knowledge of commonly used civil/structural engineering design concepts, principles, practices, codes, and procedures.
\n
• Conduct research and compile project-related data, studies, and reports.
\n
• Prepare and review drawings, specifications, and other engineering documents.
\n
• Lead client presentations, shop drawing review, and contract administration.
\n
• Perform and oversee field inspections, measurements, and calculations.
\n
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and designers.
\n
• Perform other duties as assigned.
\n
• Comply with all policies and standards.
\n

Qualifications \n
\n

\n
• Bachelor's degree in civil, structural, or related engineering field from an ABET-accredited program required or;
\n
• Bachelor's degree in civil, structural, or related engineering technology from an ABET-accredited program and successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam required.
\n
• Minimum of 3-5 years of related professional experience in civil/structural engineering, preferably in a consulting environment.
\n
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is strongly preferred, or the ability to obtain one within a year. Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is required.
\n
• Advanced knowledge of standard civil/structural engineering techniques, principles, and procedures.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
\n
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to work independently and lead tasks.
\n
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and engineering software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, BIM (Revit), Civil 3D, RISA-3D, and other relevant analysis programs.
\n
• Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
\n
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills.
\n
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without the need for work sponsorship) in the country where this position is located.
