WHAT SCHOOL SOCIAL WORKERS DO: Assess students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs and develop IEP goals and individualized supports Provide direct and indirect social work services and counseling Provide crisis intervention, behavior support, and classroom consultation Partner with families, teachers, school administrators, and other professionals to create a safe, healthy, and supportive learning environment that strengthens connections between home, school, and the community.
