Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Washington, District of Columbia.
The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse to support a cardiac-focused stepdown and progressive care setting, with patient populations including CHF, NSTEMI, arrhythmias, and other vascular surgery-related needs. Candidates will provide care for patients requiring cardiac telemetry and frequent intravenous therapies. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

• Schedule: 3 x 12s night shift; minimum 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Current Registered Nurse license in state/district; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) (highly desired); Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program; Cardiac telemetry experience; Cardiac Stepdown/Progressive Care experience including 2 years of RN experience; 2 years Cerner experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: BSN.
• Additional Information: Unit care includes cardiac stepdown/progressive care, with frequent intravenous drips (heparin, milrinone, furosemide, and bumetanide). Clinical responsibilities are aligned to diagnoses such as CHF, NSTEMI, arrhythmias, and vascular surgery-related needs.
