Activities Director

Responsibilities Develop, implement, and evaluate activities programs that cater to the diverse interests and abilities of our residents Collaborate with other departments, such as Nursing, Therapy, and Dietary, to ensure resident-centered care and support Plan and execute activities that promote physical, mental, psycho-social, and spiritual well‑being, including arts and crafts, exercise classes, games, and entertainment events Recruit and train volunteers to assist with activities and provide support to residents Assess and document resident participation and satisfaction, making adjustments to the program as needed Maintain accurate records and reports of activities, including attendance, participation, and any issues or concerns Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures Requirements Activity Director experience in a skilled nursing setting, with a strong understanding of the elder adult population Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with residents, families, and staff Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and prioritize resident needs and preferences High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in recreation therapy, gerontology, or a related field preferred What We Offer Competitive salary: $16.5 - $18.5 HOURLY Opportunity to work with a dedicated and compassionate team of healthcare professionals Supportive work environment that values education, growth, and teamwork Autonomy and flexibility to design and implement activities that meet the unique needs of our residents Apply today if you are passionate about creating a fulfilling and engaging activities program for elder adults.
