Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Tacoma, Washington. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/19/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position in a Level II Trauma Center with an advanced Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This role involves providing care for high-acuity obstetric patients during labor, delivery, and post-partum recovery, with a focus on managing complex cases such as preterm labor, cesarean sections, and high-risk deliveries. The position requires strong clinical skills in fetal monitoring, triage, and emergency response, supporting a busy and diverse obstetric service. Job Details: Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 48 hours per week Required Qualifications: 2 years of labor and delivery experience, valid BLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring (AWHONN) certifications; newborn experience with second set of hands preferred Preferred Qualifications: Charge Nurse experience, EPIC electronic medical records system familiarity, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to manage high-risk obstetric patients Certifications: BLS, NRP, Intermediate FHM (AWHONN) Responsibilities include managing high-acuity OB patients, triage, fetal monitoring interpretation, circulating in operating rooms, cervical checks, assisting with deliveries, and post-partum care Support staff includes CNAs, scrub techs, resource RNs, phlebotomists, RTs, and other interdisciplinary team members Orientation will consist of hospital and unit training, with 6 shifts of unit orientation paired with a Charge Nurse No mandatory call; opportunity to pick up extra shifts proactively No holidays required, but chances exist to work if desired The schedule is set in 6-week cycles, with the last 4 weeks switching from days to nights, starting 10/19/2026, ending 01/16/2027 Benefits The benefits of taking a travel assignment with Cross Country include: Private housing or generous housing allowance Comprehensive health insurance with prescription coverage Dependent health insurance with prescription coverage Competitive salaries Referral bonuses Travel reimbursement 401(k) retirement plan Direct deposit/free checking Unlimited free CE credits Cross Country Job ID #1307014.
