About This Role:
- Rheumatologist position, Board Certification required
- Based in Statesville, NC, a short 45-minute drive from Charlotte
- The selected candidate will diagnose and manage a range of rheumatic and autoimmune conditions, including arthritis and lupus, while providing thorough, patient-centered care.
- Ideal candidates bring strong medical expertise, sound patient management abilities, and a collaborative approach when working with other providers.
- Note: this position is opening up as the current rheumatologist on staff approaches retirement.
- Located about 35 miles north of Charlotte, this respected healthcare system serves the surrounding community.
- The organization's flagship facility is a 247-bed hospital.
- As a 501c3 nonprofit, it has been a trusted community fixture for seven decades.
- Physicians relocating for this role will enjoy access to the picturesque and sought-after Lake Norman region, boasting 500+ miles of shoreline.
- The system operates 27 practice sites in total 12 primary care clinics, 10 specialty practices, 3 ambulatory surgery centers, and 2 urgent care facilities.
- Staffing includes over 1,600 employees (full-time, part-time, and PRN) plus 175+ licensed providers.
- Base salary of $350,000/year, backed by a 2-year guarantee plus incentive bonus potential

- Valid NC Medical License and DEA certification
- Board Certification (required)
- Demonstrated leadership and strong interpersonal/teamwork skills
- Track record of working effectively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams to support quality patient experiences
