Job Summary:
Perinatal Nursing in a labor and delivery department at a healthcare facility located in New Braunfels, Texas. This full-time night shift position involves providing high-quality nursing care to obstetric patients in a busy, well-equipped facility that offers comprehensive prenatal and postpartum services. The role requires clinical independence, proficient assessment skills, and the ability to support patients through various stages of childbirth and postpartum recovery.

Job Details:

• Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, current RN license in Texas or a compact state, BLS certification (American Heart Association), at least 1 year of experience in the labor and delivery specialty, current certification from one of the following: AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM), STABLE certification, NRP certification, and ACLS certification.
• Preferred Qualifications: Perinatal RN residency or recent practice in a perinatal setting.
• Responsibilities: Delivering routine and advanced nursing care utilizing the nursing process, assessing patient needs, administering medications and treatments, providing patient education, and collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal maternal and neonatal outcomes.
• Additional Information: The role involves managing complex clinical situations, delegating appropriately to other care providers, documenting thoroughly, and supporting the emotional and social needs of patients and their families. New hire orientation is required within the first 30 days, with ongoing competency validations.
