Overview Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) part-time position at Byron L. Reintjes, DDS in North Fresno. We are seeking a dedicated clinical professional who builds real relationships with patients and provides personalized, high-quality care in a friendly, professional environment. Job Responsibilities Comprehensive Preventative Care: Perform thorough, gentle dental cleanings (prophylaxis), digital radiographs (X-rays), oral cancer screenings, and periodontal risk assessments. Periodontal Therapy: Execute high-quality scaling and root planing (SRP) and localized antibiotic therapies as clinically indicated. Patient Education: Deliver personalized oral hygiene instruction and home-care strategies tailored to each patient\'s goals. Treatment Planning Support: Partner with Dr. Reintjes to identify restorative, cosmetic (e.g., veneers), or implant needs and explain benefits to patients. Documentation & Safety Compliance: Maintain accurate electronic patient charts and notes. Adhere to OSHA, CDC, and infection control standards. Team Collaboration: Maintain smooth clinical flow, prep treatment rooms, and contribute to a warm, supportive team culture. Required & Preferred Qualifications Education & Licensing Active California RDH License: Valid RDH license in the state of California. Certifications: Current CPR/BLS certification required. Certification in local anesthesia and nitrous oxide monitoring is highly preferred. Skills & Attributes Excellent Bedside Manner: Warm, professional demeanor; ability to reassure anxious patients and explain procedures. Clinical Excellence: Strong technical skills in modern dental hygiene therapies, instrumentation, and digital imaging. Communication: Exceptional verbal communication to collaborate with Dr. Reintjes, dental assistants, and front desk team. Reliability: Punctual and dedicated care for Tuesday and Wednesday schedule. Experience: Preferred: 1+ year of clinical dental hygiene experience preferred; motivated new graduates are welcome to apply. Compensation & Benefits Pay Range: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour (competitive market range for the Fresno area; placement within the range depends on clinical experience).
