Sourcing Manager

Job TitleResponsible for procurement (e.g., purchasing and supply chain activities), as well as vendor management (e.g., negotiation, purchase, and relationships associated with outsourced services).Job DescriptionAccountable for obtaining goods / services required by the organization including Indirect Operations (e.g., Office Supplies, Computers, Travel, Maintenance, Machine Parts, etc.) and Direct Operations (e.g., Raw Materials and Services for Manufacturing, Production or Construction; Products for Retail, etc.). Responsibilities include:Product / Service SourcingSupplier SelectionPricing / Terms NegotiationOrder ProcessingContract AdministrationSupplier Performance ManagementManages or performs strategic sourcing work to manage risk and optimize the value/resilience of materials/services sourcing including:Establishing supplier relationship management processes and continuous improvement goals/programs.Negotiating contracts and coordinating supplier integration plans with internal clients.Monitors market dynamics that impact materials/services availability and/or pricing.Partners with internal clients to identify sourcing needs, develop buyer/market profiles, identify marketplace trends, and define acceptable service levels.ResponsibilitiesWorks on problems of moderate scope and assists with projects or processes while receiving general instructions from higher level professionals.Applies research towards the planning, design development, testing, and completion of projects.Impact is short-term, occasionally on medium-term goals.Continues building knowledge of organization and processes.May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies, and practices.Other duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsTypically requires a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experienceAt Bridgestone, you are Free to BeWe believe people can only provide superior service and quality to others when they feel safe bringing their chosen version of themselves to work.
