About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical experience License: Valid RN license required Certifications: BLS required and not expiring within 30 days of start Must-Have: - EPIC experience - Ability to float within scope of care/practice - Completion of full contract length required - Patient ratio experience of 1:5-6 Description: This role involves providing care in a Medical-Surgical setting. Responsibilities include care for orthopedic diagnoses with medical overflow. The nurse will be required to float as needed within their scope of practice. Candidates must have a minimum of one year of experience in a medical-surgical environment. Documentation will be conducted using the EPIC charting system. The position includes handling various patient procedures and requirements associated with orthopedic care. This role requires proficiency in blood product administration, isolation precautions, and tracheostomy care. Daily staffing will allow for a patient census of up to 40 patients. Interdisciplinary support will be available, including IV teams and physical therapy services. Overall, the position demands a dynamic and adaptable approach to patient care and teamwork.
