Safety Engineer

Safety Engineer (Bilingual Korean required)\n\nTimpl has partnered with a global EV battery manufacturing company and is\nseeking for a Safety Engineer.\n\n\n\nRole and Responsibilities:\n\nMonitor and provide feedback for safety policies and procedures: Assists with\ncreating and updating comprehensive safety policies and procedures, ensuring\nthey align with relevant regulations and industry best practices.\n\n \n\nConduct safety inspections and risk assessments: Regularly inspect the\nworkplace, equipment, and machinery to identify potential hazards. Perform\nthorough risk assessments to evaluate the level of risk associated with\ndifferent work activities.\n\n \n\nAssist with safety training programs: Assists with the development of safety\ntraining sessions for employees at all levels while ensuring trainers are\ncompetent and able to deliver the training to employees, covering various safety\ntopics and best practices. Collaborate with different departments to design and\nimplement safety training programs, ensuring all employees are well informed\nabout safety protocols and practices.\n\n \n\nInvestigate incidents and accidents: Lead detailed investigations of workplace\nincidents, accidents, or injuries to determine root causes and prevent future\noccurrences. Prepare comprehensive incident reports, analyzing root causes and\nproposing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences, and ensuring that\ncorrective action items are closed out by operations.\n\n \n\nImplement safety measures and controls: Recommend and implement safety\nequipment, technologies, and controls to minimize risks and enhance workplace\nsafety.\n\n \n\nMonitor safety performance and metrics: Track and analyze safety data, including\ninjury rates, injury reports, and compliance levels to analyze trends, and to\nprovide regular reports to management to identify areas for improvement.\n\n \n\nEnsure compliance with safety regulations: Stay up-to-date with local, state,\nand federal safety regulations and ensure the organization's practices and\npolicies adhere to these standards.\n\n \n\nCollaborate with cross-functional team: Work closely with different departments\nto integrate safety considerations into various processes and projects. Provide\nsafety support and guidance as needed. Participate in safety committees and\nmeetings to provide expert input and guidance on safety matters.\n\n \n\nEmergency response planning: Review emergency response plans, including\nevacuation procedures and crisis management protocols, and determine areas of\nfocus needed, and communicate these to the SHE management team.\n\n \n\nConduct safety audits and inspections: Periodically conduct safety audits and\ninspections of equipment, machinery, and facilities to assess, identify, and\nresolve potential safety issues; or to assess the effectiveness of safety\nprograms and to identify potential areas for improvement.\n\n \n\nPromote a safety-conscious culture: Encourage employees to actively participate\nin safety initiatives and foster a culture that prioritizes safety as a shared\nresponsibility.\n\n \n\nStay informed on industry developments: Continuously update knowledge on safety\nadvancements, emerging technologies, and industry trends to enhance safety\npractices within the organization.\n\n \n\nDevelop and maintain safety documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate safety\nrecords, reports, and documentation to ensure compliance and facilitate proper\nrecord-keeping.\n\n \n\nCollaborate on incident response and crisis management: Work with relevant teams\nto coordinate and execute emergency response plans in the event of accidents,\nincidents, or crisis.\n\n \n\nSkill and Qualifications:\n\n * Proven work experience as a Safety Engineer or in a similar safety related\n role, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.\n * Proficiency in conducting safety inspections, risk assessments, and incident\n investigations.\n * Familiarity with safety equipment and technologies used to enhance workplace\n safety.\n * Proficient in using safety-related software and tools.\n * Experience in designing and delivering training programs for employees at all\n levels.\n * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to assess risks and propose\n effective solutions.\n * Interpret safety data and metrics to identify trends and areas for\n rimprovement.
