Arborist

Are you passionate about trees, customer relationships, and creating beautiful, healthy landscapes? Sam Hill Tree Care is looking for an experienced Arborist to join our growing team in Dallas, TX. This is a client-facing role where you’ll combine your technical tree care expertise with relationship management, sales, and project oversight.

What You’ll Do:

As an Arborist, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor to residential and estate clients by assessing tree and landscape needs, recommending solutions, and ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

• Meet with clients and prospective customers on-site to assess tree and plant health needs
• Prepare proposals for tree care and plant health services aligned with ANSI A300 standards
• Follow up on proposals and maintain strong customer relationships
• Coordinate scheduling and communicate timelines with clients
• Partner with production crews to ensure jobs are completed on time, on budget, and to quality standards
• Conduct post-service follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction
• Resolve client concerns quickly and professionally
• Track sales activity and review job profitability
• Support marketing efforts through newsletters, campaigns, referrals, and social media content
• Promote and model company safety standards at all times

What We’re Looking For Required Qualifications:

• Degree in Horticulture, Forestry, Entomology, Plant Pathology, or related field
• Valid Texas Class C Driver’s License
• ISA Certified Arborist or ability to obtain certification within 12 months
• 3+ years of green industry experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of regional trees, plants, insects, and disease identification
