Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description Job Summary: The Emergency Room Registered Nurse will provide specialized nursing care in a high-volume, busy ER setting, focusing on adolescent to geriatric patient populations. The role requires strong clinical skills, adherence to protocols, and flexibilityto work varied shifts and holidays. Responsibilities: Assess and prioritize patient care needs in a fast-paced emergency department environment. Administer treatments, medications, and interventions in accordance with established protocols. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely and effective patient management. Document patient information accurately within the Epic system and manage supply levels via Pyxis. Monitor and respond to critical events, including stroke and STEMI cases, following certification standards. Maintain compliance with clinical, safety, and facility policies throughout the assignment. Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of ER nursing experience; first-time travelers not accepted. Current BLS, ACLS, NIH, and PALS certifications. Proven ability to handle high acuity cases in a large, busy ER with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio. Experience working with Epic EMR and Pyxis medication systems. Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
