Department of Military Affairs – SQM Maintenance (SFB)

Starting Pay: $16.00 per hour - with regular performance reviews
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, Regular Business Hours
Employment Type: Contract through KeyStaff, Inc.

Position Overview :

KeyStaff, Inc. is seeking a dependable and hardworking Custodial/Janitor to support the Department of Military Affairs – SQM Maintenance (SFB). This is a full-time opportunity for an individual who takes pride in maintaining clean, safe, organized, and professional facilities.  The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine custodial and janitorial duties throughout assigned facilities while following established safety and cleanliness standards.

Key Responsibilities :

• Clean and maintain offices, common areas, restrooms, hallways, and other assigned areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize floors and surfaces.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms, sinks, fixtures, and other high-touch areas.
• Empty trash and recycling receptacles and properly dispose of waste.
• Replenish restroom and cleaning supplies as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of assigned areas throughout the workday.
• Safely operate standard cleaning equipment and use cleaning products according to instructions.
• Report maintenance concerns, damaged equipment, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the appropriate supervisor.
• Follow all facility policies, safety procedures, and established custodial practices.
• Perform additional cleaning and related duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

• Previous custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, or commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
• Dependable, punctual, and responsible work habits.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and detail.
• Ability to communicate professionally with supervisors, coworkers, and facility personnel.
• Ability to perform the physical duties associated with custodial work, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and moving cleaning supplies and equipment.

Applicants must successfully pass a background check and drug screening as a condition of employment.
