RFT Management GW Harris Youth Shelter GHYS, Bartow, FL, US Salary Range: $24.00 To $26.00 Hourly RESIDENTIAL SUPERVISOR - YOUTH SHELTER POSITION SUMMARY: Oversee day to day operation of the Youth Residential Shelter. Assists the Program Director in all aspects of the administration and management of the program. Leads and directs team members in areas including but not limited to regulations/standards compliance, facility-specific and employee management functions, budget development / monitoring, and implementation of the youth development system. In addition to the duties and requirements listed below, YFA expects employees to be committed to incorporating principles of trauma-informed care in all areas of service delivery. Commitment to these principles is demonstrated through active participation in agency-required training, use of trauma-informed practices, and understanding that trauma-informed environments require cultural sensitivity and an emphasis on a safe and respectful environment for all. Job Duties: Supervise Youth Development Staff directly. Monitor reports, forms, and admission packets to ensure accuracy and policy compliance. Coordinate with Team Lead for timely completion of contractual requirements like drills and inspections. Manage safety procedures for the facility. Ensure compliance with the Youth Development System (YDS) among staff. Foster a safe and welcoming environment for youth, families, and colleagues, ensuring emotional and physical security without re-traumatization. Follow a trauma-informed approach, demonstrating sensitivity to individuals' needs and experiences. Maintain facility cleanliness through daily checks and staff/youth encouragement. Assist Program Director with Quality Improvement (QI) and COA standards compliance. Support fundraising efforts as assigned. Coordinate staff scheduling to meet licensing and budget requirements. Participate in community/regional committees or teams. Assist Program Director with employee supervision, recruitment, training, and disciplinary actions. Ensure compliance with Department of Health (DOH) food program and budget. Identify and organize training needs for Youth Development Staff.

WHAT YOU NEED:

Bachelor's degree, preferably in social work or human services and 2+ years of experience working with children, or 2 years of college and 3 years of experience working with children Ability to practice self-care and seek support as needed to prevent burnout while providing trauma-informed care. #J-18808-Ljbffr YFA (Youth and Family Advocates)
