Illini Environmental Inc. is an EPA Permitted Non-Hazardous Disposal Facility that actively maintains environmental risk management to mitigate exposure to potential liability. Illini Environmental is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to support environmental testing and analysis operations. This position is responsible for receiving and preparing samples, performing laboratory testing, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with company quality standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is organized, safety-focused, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced laboratory environment. Responsibilities: • Receive, log, label, and track environmental samples.• Prepare samples for analysis according to established procedures.• Perform laboratory testing and analytical procedures on environmental samples.• Record, review, and maintain accurate test data and laboratory documentation.• Calibrate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.• Ensure compliance with laboratory quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) procedures.• Follow all company safety policies and applicable environmental regulations.• Assist with inventory management, ordering laboratory supplies, and maintaining stock levels.• Prepare reports and communicate test results to laboratory management as needed.• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.• Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned. Qualifications:• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field preferred.• Previous laboratory experience is preferred but not required.• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures.• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.• Ability to accurately record and analyze data.• Compliance with all safety and PPE requirements is mandatory.
