Talent Acquisition Specialist

Aston Carter

  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for exempt, non-exempt, technical, professional, and leadership positions.

  • Partner with hiring managers and HR to understand workforce needs and develop recruiting strategies.

  • Source, screen, interview, and evaluate candidates through phone, virtual, and in-person interviews.

  • Conduct reference checks, coordinate background screenings, and facilitate employment offers.

  • Build and maintain talent pipelines through traditional and innovative sourcing methods, including networking events, job fairs, professional associations, social media, and online recruiting platforms.

  • Collaborate with sourcing resources to identify and attract diverse, qualified candidate pools.

  • Manage internal candidate transfers, promotions, and mobility processes.

  • Maintain consistent communication with candidates and hiring teams throughout the hiring process.

  • Guide hiring managers on recruiting best practices and employment regulations.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and affirmative action requirements.

  • Maintain accurate candidate records and recruiting activity within the applicant tracking system (ATS).

  • Support onboarding and new hire transition activities to ensure a positive candidate experience.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry organizations and professional networks.

  • Contribute to affirmative action planning and diversity recruiting initiatives.

  • Identify opportunities to improve recruiting processes, workflows, and candidate experience.

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior recruiting team members as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resource management or related field preferred or equivalent years of experience.

  • 5+ years' corporate experience in recruitment and placement of applicants in professional and management level exempt positions

  • 3+ years of knowledge and experience working with electronic applicant systems and internet recruiting sources

  • Experience recruiting for engineering, skill trades, or corporate / salaried-exempt roles highly preferred

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Wayne, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $42.00/hr.
