- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through recognized assessment protocols and observation.
- Create customized treatment plans aimed toward fulfilling both immediate objectives and enduring needs regarding communication, cognition, or swallowing.
- Administer individualized speech therapy focusing on aspects like language acquisition, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing rehabilitation.
- Engage collaboratively with physical therapy, occupational therapy, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to foster comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families to enhance support and progress beyond clinical encounters.
- Occasionally provide evaluations and therapy for inpatients, ensuring seamless care throughout the treatment process.
- Maintain precise and timely patient documentation that adheres to state laws, federal regulations, and organizational standards.
- Pursue ongoing education and professional collaboration to stay informed about the latest industry advancements.
- Earned a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if ASHA certification has not yet been achieved.
- Hold a state license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Possession of a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is highly preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is necessary to obtain within 30 days of hire.
- Expertise in evidence-based approaches for treating diverse ages alongside strong insights into developmental and acquired communication and swallowing impairments.
- Outstanding communication abilities with patients, family members, and multidisciplinary care teams.
- Capability to adapt therapeutic methods to honor cultural and linguistic diversity.
