About the Position

Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory Therapist Specialty: Respiratory Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours (1800-0630) Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: Confidence in adult critical care Description: Department: Respiratory Therapy Adult Care. Treatments per day vary, typically 15+. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, and PALS. Patients include adults, with some pediatric and infant cases in the emergency setting. Areas covered include emergency room, intensive care unit, cardiovascular intensive care unit, and wards. No outpatient services are provided. Job duties include drawing ABGs, performing EKGs, managing ventilators, and administering BiPAP and CPAP. Intubation assistance is required in all areas. There are no solo shifts; the schedule includes weekends and holidays. Weekend and holiday coverage is required. Floating between campuses may occur. Dress code is black scrubs without logos. Respiratory therapy equipment includes Avea, LTV, Zoll vents, V60, V30, SiPAP, Vapotherm, and Optiflow for hospital transfers. Clientist or intensivist support is present. Mandatory cancellation policy includes 4 shifts per contract or 3 shifts for contracts under 13 weeks. Charting system used is Cerner.
