CNC Shop Foreman — Acroturn Industries Tavares, FL
Pay: $60/hour. Overtime as needed. No benefits. Schedule: Full-time, day shift. Start right away.
We're a small shop growing fast, we machine parts for the aerospace and space industry. Mostly precision turning and milling in tool steels and refractory metals like TZM molybdenum, plus titanium and nickel alloys. We need someone to lead our shop floor. You'd be leading a team of 3 machinists.
What you'll do:
- Program in Mastercam 2019
- Write and prove out programs for 5-axis milling and 4-axis horizontal machining
- Read blueprints and GD&T
- Oversee the CNC machinists, assign jobs, and keep the floor running
- Work with machinists to set up and run first articles
What we're looking for:
- Strong CNC programming background in Mastercam
- 5-axis experience preferred; will consider a strong 3-axis programmer
- Strong background in 4-axis horizontal milling is a plus
- Comfortable with tight tolerances and aerospace-level inspection
- Shop floor leadership experience
- Able to lift 50 lbs, stand for a full shift, and work around running machines
- Steel-toe safety shoes required
- Must be a US citizen or permanent resident (export-controlled work)
