Senior Accounting Consultant

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Accounting Consultant to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $50.00 to $60.00 per hour.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead accounting and financial reporting activities for assigned business units while ensuring accurate and timely results.
• Manage month end close processes including account reconciliations journal entries and financial statement preparation.
• Oversee project and contract accounting activities by reviewing revenue recognition cost tracking and operational performance.
• Partner with operational leaders to provide financial insights support business decisions and resolve accounting matters.
• Support audits reporting requirements and process improvement initiatives that strengthen financial controls and efficiency.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor degree in accounting finance or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience in a professional environment.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of accounting principles financial reporting and internal control practices.
• Possess experience with month end close general ledger accounting reconciliations and business unit financial support.
• Maintain proficiency with Excel enterprise resource planning systems and financial reporting tools.

• Apply strong analytical and problem solving skills to evaluate financial performance and resolve complex accounting issues.
• Communicate effectively with operational leaders management teams and nonfinancial stakeholders.
• Maintain exceptional attention to detail while managing multiple priorities and meeting reporting deadlines.
• Demonstrate the ability to work independently while building collaborative relationships across departments.
• Bring experience with project based accounting revenue recognition business intelligence tools or service related industries considered beneficial.
