System Administrator

AEP is partnering with a well-established local Hawaii organization who is seeking a Systems Administrator to support and maintain their IT infrastructure. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a stable environment, takes ownership of day-to-day IT operations, and is comfortable working with legacy Windows-based systems.

Location : Honolulu, Hawaii (On-site)

Employment Type : Full-Time

Compensation: $94,000- $110,000 base

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and user accounts
• Provide Tier 2/3 support for hardware, software, and network issues across multiple locations
• Manage system backups, patches, and updates across the infrastructure
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively
• Support end users across retail/operations locations throughout Oahu
• Coordinate with vendors and third-party IT service providers
• Maintain documentation for systems, configurations, and procedures
• Assist with hardware procurement, deployment, and lifecycle management

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of experience in a systems administration or IT support role
• Solid hands-on experience with Windows Server (2012/2016) and Active Directory
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and related tools
• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN
• Experience supporting multi-site or distributed environments a plus
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a calm, solution-oriented mindset
• Hawaii-based or relocating — local candidates strongly preferred

Nice to Have

• CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certification
• Experience with legacy systems and hardware
• Retail or operations IT support background
